Five of the Greatest On-Screen Sheriffs

Hey there.  From action heroes, to gritty cowboys, and even talking toys, the humble Sherriff has appeared in hundreds of different roles across Hollywood throughout the last century. The definition of a sheriff is “a government official with varying duties, existing in some countries with historical ties to England, where the office originated.” We take a look at some of the best Sheriffs featured across the big (and small) screen. From Zombie Hunters, to hardened Criminals, and even those featured on slot machines, this list has them all!

Thoughts On... Thor! The Goddess of Thunder!

Thor
Introducing Thor!  The GODDESS of Thunder!
Hey there.  Comics are filled with stories made of extreme fantasy.  We have super heroes and we have super villains.  We have parallel worlds and we have alternate universes.  Throughout comic book history, heroes have died and resurrected and died again many times over.  But you know what has never happened?  At least not that I know of?  A well known character changing gender!  That's right!  We've had alternate female heroes that mirrored their masculine counterparts (Power Girl, Bat Girl, etc.) in comics but Marvel is really changing the comic book universe by having the almighty Thor be a woman in the comics!  Here are my thoughts on... Thor the Goddess of Thunder.

Finding Nemo Sequel Announced! Finding Dory

In theaters Nov. 25th, 2015
Hey there!  Well, it's about time!  Finding Nemo is one of those films that I absolutely adore.  I would watch it all the time on DVD with the kids.  Even today, we'll pop in the DVD every now and then and sit and watch.  It's just one of those timeless classics that you will always remember.  Whether it be the story of a father looking for his son or awesome job Ellen DeGeneres did as the lovable Dory, Finding Nemo has something that appeals to both the parents and the kids.  Pixar has a knack for that.  Many of their films touch everyone in their hearts and many of us look forward to the sequels.  I, for one, wondered when we would get a Finding Nemo sequel.  Well, my friends... now we know!  Finding Dory, the sequel to Finding Nemo has been announced!

Wreck it Ralph Blu Ray/DVD Giveaway

Hey there.  "I'm going to wreck it!"  I LOVE Wreck it Ralph!  I thought it was one of the best movies of last year and I knew that at one point or another this year, I would give out a copy of the movie to one of my viewers.  But I'll admit that I was torn between two prizes... Wreck it Ralph or the new Tomb Raider video game.  I took to the facebook fans to decide and Wreck it Ralph won the vote by a single vote!  So here it is, friends.  The Wreck it Ralph Blu Ray/DVD Combo Pack giveaway!

Thoughts On... Wreck it Ralph

Hey there.  Wreck it Ralph is right up my alley.  It's a movie paying homage to retro video games and somewhere in all of the video game character cameos, there is a feel good story of a bad guy wanting more than just being well... a bad guy.  When I first saw the trailer for this film, I just had to see it.  Being a gamer that was raised off of the retro games, it immediately grabbed my attention.  Seeing familiar faces from games past was not only nostalgic but also brought back fond memories of my youth.  If you haven't had the chance to catch this film, go do it before you will have to wait for the Wreck it Ralph DVD/Blu Ray release.  WARNING!  SPOILERS BELOW!  Now, here are my thoughts on... Wreck it Ralph.

Chauvinism, Chainsaw Massacres and Characters

With the release of the movie Brave fresh in our minds, I can’t help but think of this film and how empowering it was to women and, ultimately, how it compares to the portrayal of women in other movies. Brave was probably the first Disney film I saw featuring a female protagonist whose sole motivation wasn’t getting married or being rescued by a prince and, you know, that was okay too.

Potty Training with Pull Ups

Hey there.  I am officially ready to declare my 2 year old boy potty trained!  YES!  No more dirty diapers but that has been replaced by many, and I do mean many, trips to my son's potty.  For those of you that haven't had the experience of potty training a child, let me tell you... it's not an easy task.  It can be very frustrating, messy, and may sometimes feel down right impossible.  But don't worry!  From my experience, it's all about the right technique to help your child learn to use the potty.  But before you embark on this incredible task with your child, you need to make sure you are well prepared.  A kid's potty, dependable Pull Ups, plenty of baby wipes, and a lot of patience will go a long way to making sure your child becomes successful!
