  1. Scott definitely performs a dragon punch uppercut during his fight with Matthew Patel. That's a move from the old 'Street Fighter' arcade game even though he doesn't yell 'Shoryuken!' Anyway, when the 'K.O.' comes at the end of the fight the sound effect is the same as in SF.

  2. Yeah! I loved that they have plenty of subtle (and not so subtle) sound effects throughout the film. The street fighter reference was definitely a good one.

  8. There was a rumored No More Heroes reference of the movie but it wasn't confirmed. Although I really liked the Fairy's Fountain theme (from Zelda series) that played when Scott was dreaming. There's so much more, like when the evil Exes explode to coins, Crash N the Boys (from River City Ransom series), the "K.O." voice from Street Fighter IV, the twins summon a "Double Dragon" from their amp, "G-man" w/ middle name Gordon (from Half-Life series), and of course Sex Bob-omb, and the 1-UP (from Super Mario series).
