Hey there.  Splatoon is finally ready to be released to the masses!  Participating in the demo the past few weeks was a blast and seeing the game mechanics first hand has me excited about picking this game up for the Wii U.  The game is like a breath of fresh air in an over saturated market of shooters.  If you still don't know what I'm talking about, maybe this graphic will help!

Bayonetta 2 Coming Exclusively to the Wii U on Oct. 24th

Bayonetta 2
Hey there.  Bayonetta was a huge hit when it first hit the scene a few years back.  It was stylish, it was breathtaking, it was over the top... but fans LOVED it!  The controls are slick, the action intense, and the graphics are gorgeous.  So imagine just how much more awesome Bayonetta 2 will be!  It promises to take everything to the next level!  The Umbra Witch, herself, will be more powerful with a new set of moves and weapons, and the game will feature several single and multiplayer modes.  Taking down angles and demons in this thrilling quest is just another day at the office for Bayonetta!  And guess what... Bayonetta 2 is exclusive to the Wii U!  So let's take a look at what the game has to offer.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker for the Wii U

Hey there.  You know, Toad has always been one of my favorite characters from the Mushroom Kingdom.  Whenever he's available as a playable character, more often than not, I choose him to be my guy.  So when Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker was announced for the Wii U, I was pretty glad that my man Toad was getting his own game and adventure!

Ganondorf Confirmed as a Playable Character in Hyrule Warriors

Ganondorf in Hyrule Warriors
Hey there.  Hyrule Warriors is really bringing on the hype!  Our first real glimpse at a Zelda game for the Wii U has many fans excited, and for good reason too.  Even though the game is a spin off of The Legend of Zelda series, it's enough to quench our thirst while we wait for an actual adventure starring Link on the Wii U.  Nintendo has been feeding us screenshots and video of many of the announced playable characters of Hyrule Warriors, but none has grabbed my attention as Ganondorf has.  Just look at this beast!

Submit Your The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker Fan Art and Win a Wii U

Hey there. Did you guys know that there is a symphony going around playing The Legend of Zelda music? It's pretty damn cool and I was soooooo disappointed when I was not able to score tickets to see it live when the symphony was in Los Angeles. I love The Legend of Zelda series and I indulge in classical music from time to time so to have The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses come to town, I just needed to be there! *sigh* But it wasn't meant to be... But you know what... THEY'RE BACK! Another tour will be starting soon and Nintendo is inviting fans to be a part of the symphony's tour! How? By submitting The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD fan art! Nintendo plans on kicking off a contest later today on the  Nintendo Facebook page where you can submit your fan art. 5 winners will win a Wii-U console as well as The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD game. But that's not all, friends! On Sept. 12th, the 5 winners (as well as the top 50 finalists) will have their art displayed at the lobby of the venue where The Symphony of the Goddesses is playing! How awesome is that?!

Also, if you decide that you want Minecraft for the Xbox 360, Justin will throw in a second copy of the game, FREE!  That way you can gift one to a buddy.  Not a bad deal if you ask me.  Now on to some giveaway details.

The Return of Mega Man

It hurts to see you this way, Mega Man.
Hey there.  See that above comic strip?  That comic strip hit home when I first saw it.  I damn near teared up.  For those of you that do not get the reference, that's Mario in the limo calling Masahiro Sukarai, the designer of the Super Smash Bros. franchise, to ask for a favor to help out an old friend.  It's one touching comic.  Subtle, yet powerful.  Also, it's very appropriate.  Mega Man was one of those NES titles that helped launch Nintendo into the video game world.  I've played all of the the Mega Man games on the early Nintendo platforms.  They were awesome, they were engaging, and most of all, they I felt a sense of pride when completing the games.  For whatever reason, Capcom and Mega Man parted ways with Nintendo and I strongly believe that was a huge mistake on Capcom's part.  Mega Man had games, such as Mega Man Legends, but they weren't the same.  Soon, before you knew it... the Blue Bomber was forgotten.  Left on the way side.  That is... until now.

Nintendo Wii U Launches in the US

Hey there.  Anyone else excited about the Wii-U release this weekend?  I walked into a local game stop on Saturday night already saw people lining up to get their pre-ordered Wii-U.  It was a pretty insane sight, actually.  New York City was an even crazier sight!  To celebrate the Wii-U release on Nov. 18th, Mii characters roamed the streets of New York City on Nov. 16th!  Check out some of those fun pictures of that event!

Nintendo Drops the Ball with Their New Console: Wii U

Hey there. I just wanted to get my initial reaction down before going in depth.  Nintendo really dropped the ball here.  Their new console, the Wii U, is meant for the more hard core gamers while retaining their youthful fans.  Most third party devolpers will provide games that are already available on PS3 and Xbox 360 for the Wii U but I cannot see how it will appeal to hardcore gamers.  Nintendo has the reputation of "child's play" and it will be difficult to shed that and if this was their asnwer for the hard core gamers, it is an epic fail.
