Vipre The Next Gen in AntiVirus Software

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of GFI for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
Hey there.  One of the worst things that can happen to your computer is for it to get malware or a virus.  It can be catastrophic.  At best, you'll have annoying pop ups to deal with.  At worse, you'll have useless computer.  I've seen it happen many times.  I do computer work for many friends and family and that converstation always starts with, "I think I have a virus."  There are many free antivirus and malware detectors out there.  The problem with them, though, is that they WILL slow your computer down.  The last thing you want is to sacrifice speed and power to protect yourself from online threats.  This is why Vipre Antivirus program has now taken the top spot in software programs that you must have on your computer.

Before installing the Vipre Antivirus software on my computer, I had one of the free antivirus programs that I mentioned above and I hated it.  Each time the computer turned on, the antivirus program would suck the resources from the computer and I was forced to either sit there for another 15 minutes while the program started up or force it to stop.  I'll admit that I should have just paid for a quality antivirus program but I, like most people in the world, like free programs.  But that's the problem with free programs.  You end up paying more over time.  More time and resources.  In this digital age, where movies are in HD and now 3D, those resources are pretty valuable.  You don't want that antivirus program to slow your browsing speed or break your video stream.  That's what you get with free programs.
The Vipre Antivirus is different, though.  After a quick and easy install, it immediately went to work and I didn't notice a single hiccup in speed.  It runs seamlessly in the background and updates itself on a schedule.  Low maintenance is always a plus.  I simply love the "set it and forget it" approach of programs.  If it can update itself and do it's job, how can you not love it?  As I browsed the internet, no lag.  As I played DVDs, no drag.  As I streamed movies from Netflix, no lag.  I was pretty happy about that.  In order for me to fully enjoy videos, I had to disable the antivirus program that I previously had installed to assure that it would not rain my computer's resources.

To really give the Vipre Antivirus program a good test, I decided to give my computer a deep scan while browsing the internet.  You can choose from Quick Scan, Deep Scan, or Custom Scan.  A quick scan is usually what you need since the program will look only in places where threats love to embed themselves, but I wanted a deep clean.  I wanted Vipre to take a good look at my files to make sure I didn't have any threats lurking in my computer.  I clicked on the Deep Scan and went off to surf the web.  I completely forgot that the virus scan was running.  Let that sink in for a minute.  I FORGOT THAT THE SCAN WAS RUNNING.  Do you know how incredible that is?  When you're running a virus scan with one of those free programs, YOU WILL notice lag while you browse.  Videos will constantly buffer or webpages will take longer to load.  It can definitely deter you from getting stuff done online.  I was online for hours and there were absolutely no signs of the virus scan.   I was extremely pleased that I didn't see any of that lag will the deep clean was going on.  A big plus 1 for Vipre.  Also, I love that Vipre will keep track of the threats that it has protected  my computer from.  It's a great way to keep tabs on the amount of threats that attempted to get to your computer.  As you can see, Vipre has already stopped one threat!
If you are tired of crappy antivirus programs, you MUST give the Vipre Antivirus program a try.  It is everything that you want from an antivirus program.  It works stealthily in the background, it protects you from online threats, it will update itself on a schedule, and the virus scans will not slow your computer down.  It's perfect for everyone using a computer.  If you want any additional information on all things Vipre, make sure you check out their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/GFIVIPREAntivirus.  You can also go to vipreantivirus.com for more information,  I'm certain that once you're there, you will want to download the free trial.  Keep that computer safe with Vipre!  Later!
