The Otaku Box - October 2020 Items

The Otaku Box - October 2020 Items
The October 2020 Otaku Box is here!!!

Hey there, friends! Another month rolls by and another Otaku Box comes my way! This month's goodies include some practical items, such as an anime waifu alarm clock and a No Game No Life reusable shopping bag! The Otaku Box also showed some love to some lovely ladies: Raphtalia, Nami, Erina, Sona, and Blake. Let's not wait any longer. Let's dig into The Otaku Box - October 2020 Edition and get a closer look at what's inside.

One Piece - Nami Figure

One Piece - Nami Figure
Nami is another great figure to add to my collection!

Nami Figure - Right Side
Nami Figure - Left Side

The Otaku Box prize figures are getting bigger and better. Last month, we got a taller than normal Rias figure and this month we get Nami! Nami's figure is a step in the right direction in terms of quality. The figure is well built, about 7 inches tall, and there isn't anything weird about it. The hair looks amazing, her face is pretty, legs are as long as the Great Wall of China, and the overall design is pleasing to the eyes. Aside from the severe anterior pelvic tilt (that's the fitness guy in me speaking), this is a pretty great looking figure. Super happy with Nami's representation here.

Food Wars! - Erina Nakiri Banner (The Otaku Box Exclusive)

Food Wars! - Erina Nakiri Banner
The God Tongue herself enjoying a little snack!

ERINA!!! Oh man, Food Wars! is amazing! Say what you want about how it ended (the manga is now complete), I greatly enjoyed the story and Erina was a huge part of it! So I was pretty thrilled that she finally (at least for me) makes an appearance in one of my Otaku Boxes. Love this artwork. The God Tongue, herself, just chillin', listening to music and having herself a snack. So subtle, yet, so amazing.

The Rising of the Shield Hero - Raphtalia Magnet

The Rising of the Shield Hero - Raphtalia Magnet
Raphtalia is beach wear is definitely something to behold!

Raphtalia is always welcomed in my home! And now, she can adorn my fridge with this nifty magnet! This art style depicts Raphtalia a little differently, though. She comes off as super leggy, super busty, and a little cartoonish in this rendition. Not really my style, but nonetheless, pretty cool.

No Game No Life - Shopping Bag

Shopping Bag - No Game No Life
No Jibril... but it's ok! This is still a pretty awesome shopping bag!

No Game No Life?!?!?! Jibril?!?! No Jibril... Big sad (as my kid would say). I tend to forget my shopping bags like... all the time, but now that I have this bag, I know I'll be more mindful. I really dig the black and white checked design on this bag and, similar to how I incorporated the otaku box face cover from a few months back, I know I'll incorporate this bag into my everyday life!

Anime Waifu Alarm Clock - The Otaku Box

Alarm Clock - Anime Waifu
Alarm Clock - Anime Waifu

The more anime waifus, the better! Last month, we got interchangeable phone holders, with popular anime ladies on them and now we get this alarm clock! 4 sides of the cube shaped alarm clock has showcases fan artwork of the lovely ladies. One on each side. We got Zero Two, Android 18, 2B (Nier: Automata), and Sabre (at least I think it's Saber). This is an awesome item and I love the fact that The Otaku Box is leaning towards giving us more waifu awesomeness in each box.

Now, all of the artwork is exclusive The Otaku Box fan art that has been used in previous Otaku Boxes. I've seen all of the artwork pieces except for the Saber one. The fan art looks like it is Saber, from the Fate series, but it could be Lucy... maybe. Who do you think it is?

RWBY - Blake Belladonna Button

RWBY - Blake Belladonna Button
Loving this design but I do find it a little dark, though.

RWBY has it's fair share of lovely ladies and you simply cannot go wrong with this Huntress, Blake. This design is pretty cool, Blake lying on a beach with leaves in the water... all while holding her weapon. Such a serene scene and I absolutely love this artwork of Blake.

Waifu Collection Card - Sona (The Otaku Box Exclusive)

League of Legends - Sona Waifu Card

The second League of Legends beauty to make her way into waifu card status! Sona may not be able to speak but she definitely speaks volumes to the hearts of many. Personally, I like the Ashe card more than Sona, but, again, that's just my personal preference.

Naruto - Kakashi Hatake Keychain (VIP Item)

Naruto - Kakashi Katake Keychain
Hanging this bad boy on my wall of keychains!

It looks like The Otaku Box is now going to list the items that are sent out to the Legendary VIP members! Each Otaku Box comes with a flyer listing the items that are in the box along with a small blurb. In previous boxes, the extra item was not listed so I'm glad that, at the very least, it is now listed. No blurb, but at least it's there. lol

Anyways, this month's VIP item is a pretty cool a Kakshi Hatake keychain! The figure is about 2 and half inches tall and you don't necessarily have to use it a keychain either. There is a clasp and a wrist strap atop Kakashi so you can pretty much hang him anywhere! Also, notice the misspelling? A little Engrish is kind of endearing, if you ask me. It made me smile and definitely made this item just a tad bit more special. Absolutely love it!

And there you have it, folks. The Otaku Box - October 2020 Edition. Man, I've been really loving some of the stuff I've been getting here. Because I am now considered a Legendary Subscriber (being a member for a year or more), I get some extra items in my Otaku Box. Some of the cool stuff that I've received as a legendary sub is a Rias hand fan, the One Piece Straw Hat Banner, Iida figure, and a Naruto keychain. If The Otaku Box sounds like something you want in on, you can get $5 off your first box by using my referral link, here. If you're an anime fan, you're going to want to check it out. And don't forget to tell Liz that Metallman sent ya! Later!
