Why is the Arc Europe's Best Race?

With the Prix de L’Arc de Triomphe being the key race in the European flat calendar and with stunning prize money of €5 million it is a race that is targeted by many of the top horses across the world. This year’s race was no other as five different countries took part which were France, Ireland, Great Britain, Germany and Japan. The list of champions that have won the race is long and one of the top ones must be the Dancing Brave. His owner was Khalid Abdullah who now owns the most recent winner of the race Enable. You can have your own horse racing bet on any of these major races up from day to day events here.

Dancing Brave finished his career with 8 victories and a runner up in his 10 starts. Some of his key victories included the Craven, 2000 Guineas, Eclipse, King George and of course the Prix de L’Arc de Triomphe. He amassed $1,776,723 throughout his career racing.

He won the Select stakes at Goodwood and then was sent to contest the Arc. He came with a stunning turn of foot to take up the lead 50 yards before the line to win by a length and a half. With so many of these top performances he finished with a time form rating of 140 which means he is one of the top horses to have ever raced. This infographic will cover the stats and facts on Europe’s key race and why it is the best.
