TellTale The Walking Dead Game Giveway

Hey there.  Who's ready for another giveaway!  I've decided that I'm going to give away The Walking Dead Game from TellTale!  If you guys have not played this game, you no longer have an excuse not to.  The complete first season (5 episodes) are now available on Xbox 360 and PS3!  Now, you too can take on the role of Lee and see what choices you'll make on your quest to keep Clementine safe and survive.  I've mentioned this game before and I've dubbed this game as the 2012 game of the year.  The game is extremely well written and the choices that you make stay with you through all 5 seasons.  It's a pretty deep game and you'll be surprised by how your decisions affect your relationship with the characters in the game.  I strongly recommend check it out.  I'm glad that one of you will win a copy of the game and experience it first hand!

Risen 2 from Deep Silver

Risen 2 and Dead Island Riptide!
Hey there.  Guess who scored a free copy of Risen 2 by Deep Silver?!?!  Yup, this guy!  I entered a Twitter contest not too long ago and about a week or so ago, I get a direct message on Twitter saying that I'm a winner.  How awesome is that?!?!  I've enter all kinds of stuff online and what not and I rarely win anything.  I think this may be one of the first things that I have actually won online!  And it's a game!  I'll admit that I haven't cracked open this bad boy but I'll definitely be popping it my Xbox 360 tonight!
Pictured above...  NOT a goofy face!  lol
I included the above picture because... well... why not.  lmao!  First, I thought it was cool that the Risen 2 game came in the mail on the same day as the Game Informer with Dead Island Riptide on the cover.  It made me believe that some way, some how, Deep Silver made sure I got it with another Deep Silver for me to read up on.  Secondly, the wife asked why I make "goofy" faces in my pictures.  First things first, my dear...  I do not believe my face is goofy and... what's wrong with goofy faces?  lmao  Just wanted to share that small conversation between the wife and I.  Actually, most of our conversations can be summed up that way.  It's one the reasons why I love her.

I haven't played any of the Risen games.  What do you guys think of them?  Good, bad?  Worth spending a generous amount of time on?  Let me know!  Later!

Check out Risen 2 and Dead Island Riptide on Amazon!

Hey there.  FINALLY!!!  A release date for Bioshock: Infinite!  It was supposed to be out early this year... then it was supposed to be late this year and now...  it's February 26, 2013!  I can't wait!  I preordered this bad boy well over a year ago and when it was pushed back I was discouraged.  Good thing I only placed $5 to "hold the game" at that point in time.  There will be 2 collector's editions available for the game:  The Premium Edition and the Song Bird Edition.  Here's what you'll get with the Premium Edition:

Thoughts On... LIMBO

Hey there.  I have always been fascinated by PlayDead's Xbox Arcade megahit, LIMBO.  When the demo was released, I immediately downloaded it.  When the price of 1200 MS was announced, I was extremely hesitant in purchasing the game.  Many reviews at the time criticized the "short gameplay" and I really like to get a good bang for my buck.  Today, you can get LIMBO, Trials HD, and Splosion Man for about $20.  I managed to score enough free MS points through the Xbox Reward program so I ended up coughing up the 1200 to download the game.  I know... I know...  Playdead's LIMBO was the talk of the town when it came out and I'm just getting around to it now.  Aside from a few screen shots, I made a conscience effort to stay away from ANYTHING that would spoil the game for me.  Thank goodness, I did.  LIMBO is more than just a game, it is art.  If you haven't had a chance to play the game and plan to, step away now.  Go kill a few hours and play LIMBO and then come back to discuss.  SPOILERS BELOW!  Now, after my first playthrough, here are my thoughts on...  LIMBO.

Dead Island Game of the Year Winner

Hey there.  It's time to announce a winner of the Dead Island Game of the Year Edition for the PS3 or Xbox 360!  But first, I asked you guys which is your favorite zombie flick and it was pretty close between Zombieland and Shaun of the Dead.  Personally, I like them both but I would give the slight nod to Zombieland over Shaun of the Dead.  Shaun of the Dead is a great homage to all zombie cliches but I like the originality of Zombieland and Bill Murray's, "Garfield, maybe." is one funny as hell line in the movie!!!  Ok... enough blabber!  And the winner is...

Hey there.  It's time to announce a winner!!!  I asked you guys which Final Fantasy game was your favorite and there was no doubt that the majority love Final Fantasy 7.  Final Fantasy 6 came a close second!  Personally, I'll always give Final Fantasy 7 the edge since that was the first FF game in which I pulled all nighters to play.  Anyways, we are not here to reminisce.  We are here to announce the winner of Final Fantasy XIII-2.  And the winner is...

Final Fantasy XIII-2 Giveaway

Hey there.  Who's ready for a game giveaway?  I've been a huge fan of the Final Fantasy series since I was first introduced to it by a good friend of mine.  I remember playing Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest on the SNES (I know... not a great installment of the series) and I payed no more attention to it after I finished it, but once my friend handed me Final Fantasy 7, my mind was blown.  I was up all hours of the night trying to find out what happens to Cloud and Sephiroth.  Ever since that day, I've gone out and searched for all the Final Fantasy installments and played them.  I've finished pretty much all of them except for the PSP games.  Anyways, as I was thinking about what game to give away, I decided that a Final Fantasy game was in order and I decided to give you the chance to win the latest in the series:  Final Fantasy XIII-2.

I enjoyed Final Fantasy XIII-2.  I love the battle system.  I love the monster training aspect of it.  It is a relatively short game considering that the series owns some games where you can easily log over 100 hours playing.  I think that at this point, many fans either love it or hate it.  I strongly believe it's because we grew up with some of the best games in the series.  For all of you that are still iffy about it and don't want to pay for it, enter to win the game for the PS3 or Xbox 360!

The giveaway will run from now until August 20th.  Anyone can enter, but the game prize is only available for US entries.  An Amazon Gift Card will be awarded to our International winner in lieu of the game.  Good luck, friends!

This giveaway is brought to you in part by my good friends at Zombie & Toys and Chic Girl.  Make sure to stop by and check them out for awesome zombie stuff and trendy fashion!

Super Killer Hornet XBLA Indie Game Review

Are you ready for a fast pace shooter?
Hey there.  Do you remember the days of when space shooters where the games to play?  Awesome games such as Space Invaders, Galaga, and Gradius?  Space Invaders pretty much started the whole spaceship destroying alien type enemies, Galaga made it fun, and Gradius made it challenging.  Of those three, I would say that Gradius is my favorite.  Why?  Because hordes of enemies would attack you with a barrage of bullets.  You needed to be quick on your reflexes or be extremely powered up to stand a chance.  It's one of those games that you can feel proud of beating it.  Super Killer Hornet brings a part of that nostalgia back.

Our good friends at Flump Studios provided a copy of their first ever game released in the Xbox Marketplace for me to try out and review.  After only an hour or so of playing the game, I feel better than prepared to give you guys an honest review of this game.  So let's get to it.  Here's all that you need to know about Super Killer Hornet for the Xbox 360 and Windows 7 phone.

The Walking Dead Video Game

Hey there. Now that the season is over, fans are looking for a zombie fix.  The Walking Dead has been insanely popular and it was only a matter of time before a video game based on the show/comic would be made.  My friends... it is happening.  TellTale games has taken the challenge and well... check out the trailer for The Walking Dead video game!

Whoa!  I love that the kept the look and feel of The Walking Dead.  It seems almost as if it plays out like a comic book!  Again, this is just the trailer so you can't take too much from it but it sure does look promising.  I really hope that they take their time and do this right or there will be a lot of upset fans.  What do you think of the trailer?
