Organization has Never Been Easier with a Brother P Touch Labeler

Hey there.  Wow... what a month it's been!  I started off this month with a project in mind:  get that garage all sorted out and organized.  I made mention how the garage is in total shambles!  How can it not be?  With 4 active kids constantly going in and out and placing their stuff all over the place it's a definitely a challenge to keep it all in order.  I used the Brother P Touch Labeler as my guide to get things in order.  Everything from bins to shelves were laveled and organized.  In the end, organization is a lot better and a lot easier.  It's still not 100% where I would like it be, but I think that's because it's just going to take the family some time to getting used to putting things where they belong!  lol  So, here are some of my thoughts of the Brother P Touch Labeler!

Southwest Airlines Vacations Deals, Here We Come

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Southwest Airlines Vacations for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Hey there.  It's time for us to get away.  Time for us to get away from work, time for us to get away from the errands, and time for us to get away from the kids.  lol  Don't get me wrong, being a parent is awesome and all, but the wife and I rarely have time to ourselves.  We usually get that time during our marriage anniversary and we usually go to Las Vegas to have a few drinks, visit a few dance floors, catch a few shows, and just get away from it all.  It's also a great way to rekindle our romance.  It's a week's vacation that we look forward to every year.  We usually drive to Las Vegas, but I think this year, it's going to be different.  I think we're going to fly there and I'm looking to score on an awesome deal from Southwest Vacations!  But not just any deal, it's a Southwest Las Vegas Vacations deals!

A Trip to Aruba Would Be Perfect for Our HoneyMoon

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Aruba Tourism Authority for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
I love the scenic views that Aruba has to offer!
Hey there.  I owe my wife a honeymoon getaway.  When we got married, we both worked but we didn't make to much money.  I couldn't afford to get her the wedding ring that she deserved, I couldn't get her the lavish wedding ceremony that she deserved, and I couldn't get her the honeymoon getaway that she deserved.  Next year, it will be our 10 year anniversary and I plan on making up for some of those things.  We're better off financialy, now, than we were before and we are we plan to renew our vows and have a wedding ceremony with friends and family.  I also want to plan that honeymoon trip that we didn't get to enjoy the first time around.  We orignally had our heart set on a Hawaiian honeymoon but a trip to Aruba sounds pretty tempting right now!

I Need Tips for Camping Trips

Hey there.  Would you believe that I have never gone camping before?  Like... EVER!  I didn't go on camping trips with school mates, I didn't go to summer camp as a child, I haven't even gone as an adult!  That's about to change, though.  The wife and I have been talking about taking the family on a camping trip. There are plenty of camping grounds in Southern California and I think it's time for me and the family to get reaquianted with the great outdoors.  I love being outside and being able to sleep under the stars in tents sounds like a great time to me.  The problem?  I've never been to any overnight camps so I'm going to need a little bit of help.

Whiteflash Jewelry is Perfect for Anniversary Gifts

Hey there.  Next year, the wife and I will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary.  Yup.  10 blissful years.  We plan on renewing our vows and hope to have a wedding where all of our friends and family can attend.  Our last wedding was pretty small and we would like to have a pretty big party this time around.  Anyways, 10 years is a pretty big milestone.  That's a whole decade!  Aside from renewing our vows, I would like to get my wife the gift of diamonds.  I don't think I'll opt to get a bigger ring, since I think she already has a pretty big ring, but I am thinking of getting her a diamond pendant or some diamond studs.  I don't want to get just any diamonds, though.  I want to get top quality diamonds.  Something I know is special and will WOW her.  I need some Whiteflash contact diamonds!  Or I should say, CONFLICT FREE diamonds!

Time to Tackle Organization with a Brother P Touch Labeler

Hey there.  It's time to tackle the garage.  Spring cleaning season is in full effect and Summer is just around the corner.  That means that stuff needs to be cleaned and organized because once Summer rolls around, everyone is going to be looking for their Summer stuff.  Whether that be the slip and slide, summer toys, the cooler, or the beach chairs.  Our Summers in Southern California are usually spent at the beach and, though it's one great time for the family, getting all of our stuff ready for the trip never is.  "Mom, where is my football!"  "Dad, I can't find the cooler!"  "Mommy, where is my water gun?!"  If you're a parent, you know the drill.  Nobody can find anything when it's time to go.  But you know what?  That's not going to happen this year.  We're prepared.  Well... at least we're going to be.  Thanks to our good friends at Mom Central, we have obtained Brother P Touch Labeler!  I know it's not a miracle worker, but it's going to make our lives a lot easier!  Let me explain.

Happy Birthday Metallman!

Hey there. Today is my birthday! After doing the math, I discovered that today I turn 31. lol Yeah, I don't really keep track of how old I am. I don't see a need for it. My wife is usually the one that tells me, and others, how old I am. Anyways, I've been away from the blogging scene for about 2 weeks now. I needed to clear my head for a bit. I have many thoughts and ideas that I want to implement in my life and career and need to sort that out before I can focus on my writing. I think I've gotten it straightend out now.

Beware of Afrin Addiction

Afrin is good!  But is it too good?
Hey there.  We are a family of six.  You know what that means?  It means that when one of us gets sick, that sickness is bound to be passed around from family member to family member.  It's tough when one of the kids get sick.  We try to make them as comfortable as possible and hope that the wife and I do not get sick. More often than not, we do get sick.  My wife usually gets the worst of it.  I'll get sick, but will only feel the stuffy nose and what not for a day or so.  My wife, on the other hand, will the effects for days if not weeks.  Anyways, a stuffy nose is the worst!  You simply can't breathe and it can get frustrating.  That's when the wife and I usually reach for our Afrin nose spray.  My wife more so than I.  She would spray the moment her nose felt stuffy.  I would say that she was using too much but it seemed to work for her and she always stopped using Afrin the moment the stuffy nose went away.  Big deal, right?  Well... today, I found out that you can actually get addicted to nose sprays.  In particular, Afrin!

VitalAlert Provides Medical and Security Response with a Touch of a Button

Hey there. Have you ever seen that commercial where an elderly person falls and exclaims, "Help! I've fallen and I can't get up!"? I know I have. And you know what... I never really paid attention to the message that the commercial was giving us.  My wife recently started to take care of her grandmother and has been doing errands and what not for her.  Whether it be a trip to the grocery store, pharmacy, or doctor's visit, my wife is there.  But what if something happens when my wife is not there?  What if grandma has a "I can't get up!" moment?  That's why VitalAlert is essential for peace of mind.

ModCloth!  Click on the picture for more details!
Hey there. The wife is a huge Sex and the City fan.  She recently started to follow the early adventures of Carrie Bradshaw on the The Carrie Diaries.  The show always gives her ideas when it comes to fashion. What looks good and what doesnt and more often than not, she'll look to see where she can snag the outfits seen on the show.  Carrie Bradshaw has always been known for her great sense of fashion and this week on The Carrie Diaries is no different. At the beginning of episode 112: "A First Time for Everything" Carrie can be seen sporting the Up in the Tee Tops from ModCloth. A boldly patterned peplum top featuring a green tree atop a pattern of red, coral, and azure, Carrie could definitely use the calming effect this top can have after an interesting exchange with her boyfriend. Finding Nemo Sequel Announced! Finding Dory

In theaters Nov. 25th, 2015
Hey there!  Well, it's about time!  Finding Nemo is one of those films that I absolutely adore.  I would watch it all the time on DVD with the kids.  Even today, we'll pop in the DVD every now and then and sit and watch.  It's just one of those timeless classics that you will always remember.  Whether it be the story of a father looking for his son or awesome job Ellen DeGeneres did as the lovable Dory, Finding Nemo has something that appeals to both the parents and the kids.  Pixar has a knack for that.  Many of their films touch everyone in their hearts and many of us look forward to the sequels.  I, for one, wondered when we would get a Finding Nemo sequel.  Well, my friends... now we know!  Finding Dory, the sequel to Finding Nemo has been announced!

The Titanic is one popular story and depending on your point of view, it can be a story of overconfidence leading to disaster or a story of negligence leading to loss of many lives.  Regardless of how you see it, millions of people are simply fascinated by the Titanic.  My wife and I are a part of that group.  We have a family vacation scheduled to Las Vegas later this year and I recently found out that there is a Titanic Exhibit at the Luxor Hotel!  And better yet, if you get there before May 31st, you can get to see the "Jewels of the Titanic!"  In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Titanic, a selection of 15 prestigious artifacts found near the wreckage of the Titanic will be displayed the the public in 3 US cities and they are scheduled to be displayed from March 22 to May 31st at the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas.  The wife is going to be thrilled!

When it Rains, it Pours

Hey there.  I'm one upbeat guy.  For those of you that know me on a more personal level, you know that it can be pretty tough to bring me down.  Despite a lot of negativity and bad luck, I tend to pick up the pieces and pull forward with optimism.  But something happened yesterday.  A recent string of unfornate events have damaged my armor and may finally be getting to me.  I won't go into much details but I will say that my vehicle was missing after work.  Yup....  Gone.  Living in Los Angeles, something to get around on is a MUST.  I was upset, I was frustrated, I was angry, but in the end, I was down.  Not so much because of this one instance, but more because of what my daughter said to my wife after I told them the news:

Thoughts On... Wreck it Ralph

Hey there.  Wreck it Ralph is right up my alley.  It's a movie paying homage to retro video games and somewhere in all of the video game character cameos, there is a feel good story of a bad guy wanting more than just being well... a bad guy.  When I first saw the trailer for this film, I just had to see it.  Being a gamer that was raised off of the retro games, it immediately grabbed my attention.  Seeing familiar faces from games past was not only nostalgic but also brought back fond memories of my youth.  If you haven't had the chance to catch this film, go do it before you will have to wait for the Wreck it Ralph DVD/Blu Ray release.  WARNING!  SPOILERS BELOW!  Now, here are my thoughts on... Wreck it Ralph.

Risen 2 from Deep Silver

Risen 2 and Dead Island Riptide!
Hey there.  Guess who scored a free copy of Risen 2 by Deep Silver?!?!  Yup, this guy!  I entered a Twitter contest not too long ago and about a week or so ago, I get a direct message on Twitter saying that I'm a winner.  How awesome is that?!?!  I've enter all kinds of stuff online and what not and I rarely win anything.  I think this may be one of the first things that I have actually won online!  And it's a game!  I'll admit that I haven't cracked open this bad boy but I'll definitely be popping it my Xbox 360 tonight!
Pictured above...  NOT a goofy face!  lol
I included the above picture because... well... why not.  lmao!  First, I thought it was cool that the Risen 2 game came in the mail on the same day as the Game Informer with Dead Island Riptide on the cover.  It made me believe that some way, some how, Deep Silver made sure I got it with another Deep Silver for me to read up on.  Secondly, the wife asked why I make "goofy" faces in my pictures.  First things first, my dear...  I do not believe my face is goofy and... what's wrong with goofy faces?  lmao  Just wanted to share that small conversation between the wife and I.  Actually, most of our conversations can be summed up that way.  It's one the reasons why I love her.

I haven't played any of the Risen games.  What do you guys think of them?  Good, bad?  Worth spending a generous amount of time on?  Let me know!  Later!

Check out Risen 2 and Dead Island Riptide on Amazon!

Mud Factor 5K Obstacle Course

Hey there.  The year of fitness continues!  I came out of the Gladiator Rock'n Run a little bruised up and sore as hell but felt extremely good and proud of myself.  Now, the next challenge awaits!  The Mud Factor 5K Obstacle course!  Only this time, the wife will also participate.  It's going to be her first mud run so I'm making sure that she'll be ready to handle the course and I'll help her where I can.  I can't wait for this one to go down!  The only problem???  It's in San Bernadino...  That's about an hour drive away from Los Angeles.  I don't mind driving... but when I know it's a long trip I turn into a little kid and wonder when we'll get there.  lol  Anyways, I'm looking forward to going out there and earning my third medal of the year!  I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Any of you Southern California friends going to be at the Mud Factor mud run?  Time to turn up the workouts to 11 and get ready for another mud filled day of obstacles!!!  Later!
