Thoughts On... the Xbox One

Introducing... the Xbox One!
Hey there.  It's here!  The big unveiling of the next gen Xbox console.  It's not Xbox Durango, it's not Xbox Infinity.  It's Xbox One!  I'm sure many of you reading this have already checked some, if not all of the 2 hour presentation earlier today.  I'm not going to get into the specifics.  There are plenty of websites with people way smarter than me that will break down the Xbox One specs for you.  I'm an average Joe that loves games.  I have some curiosities about the Xbox One and I have a few thoughts that came to mind while checking out the presentation.  So here are my thoughts on the Xbox One reveal.

Rise of Nightmares for the Xbox 360 Kinect

Hey there. Why am I excited about a game for the Kinect? Don't I already know that Kinect games fall into one of 2 categories. They are either dance games or they are "mini game" games. There hasn't been that Kinect game that has a story centered around it. Well, that ends today! Rise of Nightmares is here to shake up the Kinect lineup and hopes to add a new dimension to the kid friendly titles that currently stock store shelves.

Dance Central for the Xbox Kincet

Hey there.  When the Xbox Kinect first came out, I was a little skeptical of it's use and it's longevity.  I figured that petting animals and pretending to kick a ball would not have the lasting appeal that many hardcore gamers are looking for.  Nevertheless, when I offered a Kinect at a bargain price, I picked it up.  I figured that I would use it as a means of exercise.  I even picked up the Zumba dance game for it in hopes to increase my dancing stats. lol
