Top 5 Games for the 2012 Holiday Season

Hey there!  Who's ready to do some shopping?!?!  Black Friday is coming up and Christmas time is less than 2 months away!  Wow... time sure flew by, huh.  Anyways, I've teamed up with the great GeekGirlDythia over at Just a Dash of Geek to get one awesome shopping guide ready for all of you guys!  I'm in charge of the gaming and tech gadget and gizmos that all gamers and techies will want to get their hands on but because there are just too much good stuff out there, I'm going to limit it to my top 5!  This is my gaming list and you should expect to see the tech list later today!  So let's get to some of the latest in video games!  I used the Xbox 360 game box covers for the games listed below but you can click on the image and see if the game is available for the PS3 or Wii!  The below items are in no particular order.

Let's face it!  This is going to be the must have console this holiday season.  It's Nintendo.  It's Super Mario. What kid doesn't like a great Mario game?  Nintendo's latest console will hit store shelves on Nov. 18th and already I'm hearing that stores are out of stock!  With the first tablet game pad on the market, it's going to be interesting to see just how well it does for gaming.  It's going to be tough to find one on store shelves so I strongly suggest you jump on a pre order wherever you can find one!  And the best part?  It's from Nintendo!  After all these years of gaming, I know for a fact that Nintendo makes some of the most durable consoles in the world.  I've dropped my DS so many times it's a wonder how it still works perfectly! I'm sure that the Wii-U will be made to take all those bumps and bruises that you know will be coming from the kids (an adults) in the family!

The much anticipated sequel to the ever so popular Black Ops is going to hit store shelves this November.  Being a huge fan of FPS (First Person Shooters), this game has been on my "want" list since it was first announced.  There is a huge community of dedicated players that are ready to get spring into action when the game is released on Nov. 13th!.  And let's not forget the much improved play of the zombie mode!  I can't wait!!!

Halo has been a long standing favorite FPS game of millions.  And not so much because of the single player campaigns... Halo 4 promises some of the best in online multiplayer action ever seen from a Halo game.  The franchise has excelled for over a decade now and the latest Halo game will be hitting stores on Nov. 6!

Wow... the Assassin's Creed trilogy has simply been amazing.  A vast world to explore, stealth kills to contemplate, and overall badassery everywhere.  The latest from Assassin's Creed has received glowing reviews from practically every gamer that have managed to get their hands on one.  If you have not played any of Assassin's Creed games, I strongly suggest you grab this as well as the first 2 so that you can follow one of the best video game series of the past decade.

Epic Mickey is a hugely underrated game for the Wii.  It is one fun and extremely entertaining game and one of the games for the Wii that shines brightest.  On Nov. 18th, Epic Mickey 2, The Power of 2, will contiune the story of Mickey and Oswald.  If you want to step away from all of the FPS games and other mature games that will be launched this holiday season, consider taking a good look at Epic Mickey 2 to add to your collection.

The holidays are fast approaching and you can be sure that one of the above items will be a huge hit!  So what you picking up this
