Top Movies to Catch This Easter Period

Hey there.  Are you parent that can't seem to pry your kids away from video games?  Never fear!  Although I condone a healthy dose of daily video games, I also condone a healthy dose of family time and what better way to do that than with family movie night!  Check out some of the awesome movies that will keep your family entertain during this Easter period.

A Thousand Words
Starring Eddie Murphy, A Thousand Words tells the story of Jack McCall, a literary agent famed for his ability to close any deal. In the movie, Jack targets Dr. Sinja, yet Dr. Sinja is wise to his ways and plants a magical Bodhi tree in his backyard. Whenever Jack speaks, a leaf drops from the tree and he soon realizes that upon the fall of the last leaf, bad things will happen to him. This leads to Jack conjuring up outrageous ways in which to communicate with others. Will be released on April the 6th.  This film is most suitable for high school kids.

Mirror Mirror

A fresh and humorous retelling of the story of Snow White, Mirror Mirror features a newcomer to the film world, Lily Collins, who plays Snow White, and Julia Roberts, who stars as the evil Queen. Snow White is joined by her seven dwarfs as she battles to win over her Prince in this enchanted adventure film. The film is certain to capture the imagination of young children seeking entertainment during the Easter break.

The Pirates! Band of Misfits!

To be released in both 2D and 3D on March the 30th, this family adventure film sees the Pirate Captain set out on a mission to overthrow his arch enemies, Black Bellamy and Cutlass Liz, in his quest to win the Pirate of the Year award. This animation features the voices of Hugh Grant, Imelda Staunton and Salma Hayek.  A fun family adventure for all!

Wrath of the Titans

The sequel to the 2010 movie, Clash of the Titans, the Wrath of the Titans sees Perseus pursue a treacherous journey into the underworld to save Zeus, who is the target for capture by his disloyal son, Ares, and brother, Hades. Starring Liam Neeson, Rosamund Pike and Ralph Fiennes, the film, which is suitable for older children, is set to be released on March the 30th.

American Reunion

For older teens that have familiarized themselves with the hilarities of American Pie and American Pie 2, this comedy stars all of the characters that cinema lovers met just over one decade ago, including Jason Briggs as Jim and Tara Reid as Vicky. In this film, the school friends return to East Great Falls and discover that distance cannot break their bond.

Titanic 3D

A must-see movie this Easter is the 1997 blockbuster Titanic, which is being re-launched in 3D. Opening at the start of April, this award-winning classic is set to look even more spectacular on the big screen than it did the first time around. The release of the movie, which will prove ideal entertainment for teenagers, comes just four days shy of the 100th year anniversary of the start of the maiden voyage.

Other Releases

Three more films set for release around Easter include: The Cold Light of Day, starring Bruce Willis; Gone, starring Amanda Seyfried; and Street Dance 2, starring George Sampson. Such is the wide range of movies to see over the Easter holidays, you may wish to play on the slots to try and win the money required to enjoy a mammoth Easter movie marathon.  lol  Later!

  2. Yeah! There seems to be a little something for every one in the coming weeks!
Mirror Mirror catches my attention as well, but only because I'm curious to see what spin, if any, they will have on a classic story.
