Battle Royale Blu Ray Movie Giveaway

We're going to switch it up a bit and giveaway a movie instead of game this time around.  I've asked around and as much as people love gaming, they love movies as well.  So when I went to look for a movie that I would love, I stumbled upon this baby.  If you have not seen Battle Royale, you MUST.  It is a GREAT Asian Horror film.  It's being released for the first time on Blu Ray March 20th so be one of the first to own it!!!  Check out the description from Amazon.com:

One Of The Most Controversial Films In History.
Now Available For The First Time Ever In America.

In the near future, the economy has collapsed, unemployment has soared and juvenile crime has exploded. Fearful of their nation's youth, the Japanese government passes The BR Law: Each year, a 9th grade class is sent to a remote island where they will be locked into exploding neck collars, given a random weapon, and forced to hunt and kill each other until there is only one survivor left. Chiaki Kuriyama (KILL BILL) and screen legend Takeshi Kitano (BOILING POINT, BROTHER) star in the movie that has been argued, acclaimed and banned around the world. More than a decade later, it remains one of the most savage, shocking and emotionally powerful films of all time. Now experience the complete Director's Cut of Kinji Fukasaku's uncompromising masterpiece -- nominated for 10 Japanese Academy Awards -- available uncensored and unrated for the first time ever in America.

''My favorite movie of the last 20 years. I wish I had made this movie.'' - Quentin Tarantino

''If you love The Hunger Games, Battle Royale sets the stage. One of the best - and most violent - genre films ever made. It's also a hell of a lot of fun.'' - Entertainment Weekly

And you can win it here on Metallman's Reverie!!!  If you are a regular, you know the drill.  Good luck, friends.  Later!!! a Rafflecopter giveaway

If you can't wait to see if you've won and want to pre order the movie before it's March 20th release date, you can get it at an awesome price here!

  13. I love all horror films, especially the Asian horror, like RINGU, The Eye, A Tale of Two Sisters. I'm a huge fan of Takashi Shimizu who did the JU-ON/The Grudge series, and Takashi Miike who directed ICHI the Killer, One Missed Called, Tomie series. There's just too many to name because I love the genre so much, and it's really hard to pick a favorite.

  14. I'm in the same boat! Ichi the Killer was freakin' awesome and I prefer all of the Asian Horror ORIGINAL films as opposed to the American counterparts (Ringu, The Eye, Shutter, etc.).

  16. There are alot of great horror/horror-sci-fi movies, and it's a tough call to pick just one! But fellow avid online contest participant, Stephen N.(AKA Alienxphile) ;-)... is right! ALIENS (1979) is a great pick! Definitely one of my all-time favorites! However, I don't want to appear as a copy cat and pick the same film. I will instead, pick another great horror film, equally as great, but in different ways! So I choose the Exorcist (1973)! It's a true classic! And no similiar films that has come out since it's release has ever been able to top it!

  32. I'm not generally a fan of the horror genre and I don't consider Battle Royale to be a horror movie at all.  I guess The Omen would be my fav though, fwiw.

  33. Technically, you're right. It's more on the Psychological thriller side, I guess.
