Orochon Ramen... I Fear No Noodles

Hey there.  I'm a man of food.  I love me all kinds of food.  People that really know me know that I can eat... and eat a lot.  So friends from time to time recommend places for me to try out.  The wife and I haven't had much of a chance to go out and try new places, her being in recovery mode and all, but pretty soon, that will be behind us and we will continue on our eating adventures!!!!  Well... actually, they'll be my eating adventures.  The wife will dine with me but I doubt she'll see any her meals as adventures or challenges.  lol  Me on the other hand, will definitely be up for foodie challenges everywhere (well... actually in the Southern California area since I'm not rich and can't travel "everywhere") and I've already have my first challenge in my sights.  The Orochon Ramen's #2 Special!

The Walking Dead on AMC is Not Your Typical Zombie Show

Hey there.  Last year, a great show aired on AMC and guess what...  I missed it.  Of course I did, I mean, who wants to hear about another zombie show/movie?  I'll admit that even though I love the genre, it seemed so saturated at the time that I didn't pay it any mind.  And considering that AMC picked up the show for only a 6 season episode makes me believe that AMC must have thought the same thing.  Boy was I wrong!  The Walking Dead has been a great success for AMC and the second season is just underway and now I hear that they have picked it up for another full season!

My Molting Tarantula

Vixin!!!  I didn't know you had a twin sister!
Hey there.  You know what happened last week?  My tarantula, Vixin, molted!  For those of you not in the know, molting is to spiders what shedding is to snakes.  Because a spider's exoskeleton is on the outside of their bodies, they need to break out of it when they get too big for it.  If you didn't know any better, would think that your tarantula split into 2!  Vixen has molted twice before and both times I only saw the aftermath.  Not this time though!  Here's the story.

Are DVDs Surging or Losing the Battle with Online Streaming Media?

Hey there. I'm a movie guy. I love movies. I'll try to catch movies whenever I can. But you know what... I've found myself watching more movies via streaming media more than anything else. Is that a good thing? I don't find myself buying many dvd movies as much as I used to since I usually find what I'm looking for on Netflix.  But the separation of streaming and DVD plans have irked many customers.  They love the streaming aspect of it but do not want to pay extras for DVD or Blu-ray formats.  So...  does this mean that Red Box will take that business away from Netflix?

Thoughts On... The Carson Palmer Trade to the Oakland Raiders

Carson Palmer signs with the Raiders

Hey there.  You know... I wonder if God owns a phone.  How else can you explain the Carson Palmer trade from Cincy Bengals to the Oakland Raiders?  This deal has the late great Al Davis written all over it.  Davis was notorious for trading picks for player he believed would better the Raiders.  And now, we have learned that the Raiders have traded away the 2012 first round pick and the 2013 second round pick, which could be a  first round pick depending on Palmer's performance, for the former Heisman winner, Carson Palmer.

TGI Fridays "Entree for One" is Making Dinner Easy for Dad's Everywhere

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of T.G.I. FRiDAY'S for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
EntrĂ©es For OneHey there.  As of late, my wife has been out of commission.  Since she had surgery (more on that real soon), she's been confined to her bed resting.  That leaves me to tend to her, the kids, and the house work and let me tell you something... it's hard work!  Between the cleaning, the laundry, the dogs, the kids, and all other chores, I need to think about dinner.  Now, let's get this straight.  I'm no Chef Ramsey.  Yeah, I can get some of the basics down and they're more than edible (I think so at least) but mac and cheese and hot dogs can get pretty old pretty fast.  That's why I've turned to quick and easy cooking during my time as both mom and dad.  Good thing that T.G.I. FRiDAY’S “EntrĂ©es for One” has been perfet for our family.

Metallman: The Committed Blogger

Hey there.  I'm ready to declare myself back!  I have been MIA for the last couple of weeks and I have been doing some on and off blog work while I was off but I am on step 1 of getting back into blogging form!  It's been a rough, few weeks and I think that the rough patch is now in the rear view mirror and I'm ready to devote more time to my blog and other commitments that I have made online.  I've slowly been inching my way back into Twitter and Facebook and now I'm ready to continue with my daily posts.  I've been a while since I've done a personal post and I have a few lined up.  I have my son's B day post, my wife's b day post, my dad's B day post, and several others that I have started and hope to have up in the coming days but first I want to discuss getting back into writing form.

Straight Talk Cell Phone Plans

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Straight Talk for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
Hey there.  With the competition between the big name cell phone carriers getting heated, many overlook some of the smaller guys in their quest to provide high quality phones and high quality cell phone service.  Hook, line and sinker strategies may work for some companies but not  with the little guys.  While the big name companies have commercials, the small guys have their reputation and word of mouth.  Which means that unless you know someone that uses the service, you won't know how great it is.  It's a shame that many people miss out on great deals simply because they don't know about them.  Well, my friends, I am here to spread the word about Straight Talk cell phone plans and phones!

Feeling Refreshed with the Febreze Set and Refresh Scented Oil Kit

Hey there.  Have you seen those Febreze commercials where they blindfold a person, place them in a filthy room, and have them describe the smell?  I'm sure you had the same thought that I had when you first saw it.  There's no way that a small scented air freshener will make a room like that smell fresh.  There's just no way... right?  Well let me tell you about my Febreze Set and Refresh experience.

Monster Hunter Tri (Wii) Game Winner

Hey there friends.  We have 21 friends that all want this game and they registered 97 entries.  Not the best turn out, but that just means that those that did enter have a better chance of winning!!!  lol  I created a spread sheet to keep tabs of everyone who entered and how many entries they received.  Here's a small snippet of that:
