Enjoy T.G.I. Friday's at Home with Entrees for One Frozen Dinners

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of T.G.I. FRiDAY'S for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
EntrĂ©es For OneHey there.  Who doesn't enjoy a great dinner at a restaurant?  You don't have to worry about making dinner, you don't need to worry whether or not the kids will make a face while eating it, you don't have to worry about prep time and getting all the ingredient, and you definitely don't have to worry about washing pots, pans, and dishes afterwards.  It's great for fun night out with the family.  But sometimes, money is tight and you can't always go out.  Especially when you have a large family like mine.  A dinner at a restaurant can easily exceed $100 for a family of 6 and that can make a dent into the family's budget.  So how can I have that family dinner experience without breaking the bank?  With T.G.I. FRiDAY’S “EntrĂ©es for One”!  That's how!

I've Been MIA

Hey there.  Just to give you guys a quick heads up as to what is going on.  My wife has been in and out of the hospital and clinic for the past few weeks.  The docs discovered a tumor that needed to be removed and all my focus has been shifted to her.  I'll give a more detailed post as to our experiences, thoughts, and fears.

Thanks to all that sent well wishes our way.  Trust me, they are very much appreciated and it definitely opened up our eyes to see that so many people had us in their thoughts and prayers.  Thanks again!

Boosting the Kids' Immune System with Emergen-C

The breakfast of champions!
Hey there.  You know, as a parent, it's tough to make sure that your kids get the right nutrients in their body.  Especially when you have younger kids.  You make the healthy foods for them, but something is always wrong with it.  Phrases like, "I don't like this.",  "Was is that?", or "It's nasty, Mom." seem to be the norm whenever we decide to make a healthy dinner.  You would figure that after awhile, the kids will get accustomed to eating healthy and will soon stop complaining.  I guess kid DNA is configured to detest healthy foods.  lol  Anyways, I know that the kids are healthy and active, but that doesn't mean that they are getting the right nutrients or at least sufficient amount of nutrients in their system.  So when I received 3 boxes of Emergen-C Vitamin Supplement drinks, I was excited.

Knott's Scary Farm

Hey there. Knott's Berry Farm is but a mere 15 minute drive from my house so it should come as a surprise that I just don't go there very often. Maybe it's the stigma associated with the place. You know, that so thrilling and more of a kid's place. Considering that Southern California is also home to Six Flags Magic Mountain, Disneyland, Universal Studios, and many other theme parks, Knott's is the one that I would least likely to go. But this year... it's going to be different. This Friday, the wife and I are heading to Knott's Scary Farm.

Finally Taking my Daughters to See Chicago on Broadway

Guest post written by Esther Hall

Back when I was first planning our recent trip to New York City, I was having a really hard time figuring out exactly which Broadway play I should take my kids to go and see. I know that some of the plays can be a little risque, but then again I have teenage girls and I'm sure that I can find something that won't be nearly as bad as some of the reality TV shows that I've caught them watching before.

Morning Conversation of Net10 Plans

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Net10 for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Hey there.  You know, I usually spend my mornings talking to my mother in law before work.  I'll drop off the girls at school and then head over to my mother in law's for coffee and a morning chat.  Those chats are usually about TV and other mundane events but this morning it was a little different.  We ventured off into cell phone plans.  She was describing a Cute NET10 commercial that she happened to see on TV and afterwards, I told her that I was familiar with that company and their plans, since they've been awesome enough to have featured posts on my blog.

Find A Great Connection on the Go with the MeetMoi Android App

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of MeetMoi for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
Hey there.  I was asked to do a review of the MeetMoi Android app for people looking to meet up with singles in their area.  Whether it be for a friendly drink or to seriously get to know each other better.  As most of you know, I'm already taken so I couldn't really test drive this firsthand.  BUT, with the aid of my awesome friends, I have more than enough to give you what I think of the app and whether or not it will be helpful in finding a great match.  Especially since my friends have a very specific interests and qualities that they are looking for.

A Little Poem for the Wife

A feeling of love, it can't escape
A feeling of joy, you can relate
An intertwined heart has taken shape
and it's because I want you.
With highs and lows, no question, endured
With faith ever waving, no doubt it's obscured
Our love everlasting, that is assured
and it's all because I need you.
As heaven shines down, light from above
While birds cannot sing, not even a dove
While words cannot say, how much I love
and it's all because I love you.
Circa 2009, when I had a long goatee and the wife was a semi-blonde. (Wife approved pic.  lol)

Finding the Time to Update Your Blog

Hey there.  There simply is not enough time in the day for a blogger to write all that goes on in their heads.  How do the pros do it?  I have ideas, I have thoughts, I have reviews, I have giveaways, I have poetry, I have randomness...  The thing I don't have?  Time.  How am I to get it all down?  By the time I have a chance to breathe and finally get a chance to post, some of those ideas have withered away or have gone with the wind.  Maybe if I had some sort of portable device?  Any suggestions?  Blogging friends, how do you guys do it?  Do you spend hours in front of your computer to write content for the week or are you more like me and spend an hour at a time (or whatever time permitted) or so for a single post?
What if you guys just followed me around and write the posts for me?

Thoughts on... Ichi the Killer

Kakihara...  A face only a mother would love.
Or not.
Hey there.  Welcome to my new series of posts!  Some of the other popular series that I take part on are Funny Friday, Motivational Monday, and the Ode to series.  Today, I am now adding the Thoughts on series to that list.  The vast majority will be based on films since I love to watch movies and they are usually the ones that I talk about the most.  But first, let's lay some guidelines as to how this is going to work.  First and foremost, this is NOT a review, I will NOT tiptoe around certain scenes, and there WILL be spoilers.  I will be speaking as if I'm conversing with someone that has already seen the movie and will express thoughts and emotions that came to be as I watched the movie.  I strongly suggest that if you plan on watching this movie someday, you do it now before I kill it for you.  lol  Maybe my thoughts will be that of the norm or maybe they'll be so out there and people will be like, how did you come up with that?!  I don't know.  I just figured that this would be a good way to convey some of the inner workings of my brain.  lol  So let's begin, no?

Rise of Nightmares for the Xbox 360 Kinect

Hey there. Why am I excited about a game for the Kinect? Don't I already know that Kinect games fall into one of 2 categories. They are either dance games or they are "mini game" games. There hasn't been that Kinect game that has a story centered around it. Well, that ends today! Rise of Nightmares is here to shake up the Kinect lineup and hopes to add a new dimension to the kid friendly titles that currently stock store shelves.

Call of Duty: Elite

Hey there.  You know, I've been spending a lot of time recently on finishing Final Fantasy XIII so that I can be caught up for when Final Fantasy XIII-2 hits shelves.  During the "down" time, I figured that I would play a little Black Ops and Rise of Nightmares to kill the time.  Well... it looks like Black Ops is beginning to take over.

I Need a Stainless Steel Sink

Hey there.  You know... I'm getting pretty tired of looking at the blue (yup... blue) ceramic type sink  that is sitting in our kitchen.  We had always said that we would get rid of it when we first bought the house and get one of those stainless steel kitchen sinks that look classy and nice.  We've always thought that stainless steel items in the kitchen make it "pop" and we figured that a stainless steel kitchen sink is exactly what we need.  Considering that the labor day weekend is coming up, I think I might get to changing it.  I think it's definitely time.  Later!

UberHumor.com is a Site of Funny Pictures

Hey there.  Today is Funny Fridays and I try to post a few jokes, comics, or anything that I find pretty funny during my online rummaging of humor sites.  One of the sites that I recently discovered with many funny pictures and images is Uberhumor.com  They have it all.  Demotivational posters, videos, fail pictures, epic pictures, animated gifs and even some awesomeness on the risque side.  All with a touch of humor.

It's perfect for those days just seem to drag and while there are some great humor sites out there, there are just some days where you don't want to read.  lol  I know, I know... us internet users can be a lazy bunch but this is why funny pictures and videos are great.  We just need to sit there and watch or take a gander at the picture and it's instant gratification!  lol

I like to bring on the laughs and you'll get a good chuckle out of the variety of funny images you'll find at Uberhumor.com  And since the site is updated daily, you'll be coming back to check out what's new in the world of humor.  Go check it out and let me know what you think. Later!
