Softball Game 1: Son of Pitches Vs DTK

Hey there.  So my very first softball game took place Wednesday night and I must say that it was an exciting experience.  It's a coed softball team and it mainly consists of my brother's friends (which are now becoming my friends) so with the exception of myself and a few others, the team chemistry is great.  We've lost our 2 scrimmage games but we showed awesome cohesion and when we heard that our fist game would be against the team that was beating 18-0 at one point, we were ready for some revenge.

What You Look Like On Friday Morning

It's like looking in a mirror!

The Real Deal with Net 10 Cell Phone Services

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Net10 for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Hey there.  I recently posted about Net 10 and their awesome cell plans but it seems that many of you still had a few questions about how they work and what the "deal" is with them offering such low prices.  There really isn't any fine print!  What you see is what you get.  If you find that you don't need many minutes one month, you can go with an ultra low $15 a month plan, or if you're a heavy texter, like myself, and will need unlimited texts, go with the unlimited talk, text, and web plan for only $50.  No contracts.  No credit checks.  Just an awesome deal on a cell phone plan.

The Net 10 Unlimited Cell Phone Plan

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Net10 for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Net 10 LogoHey there friends.  You need a cell phone.  That's a known fact.  We are no longer tied down by land lines that many household simply refuse to pay for that service.  I'm one of them.  I don't see a need for a land line when I have my cell phone.  And the best thing is I have free long distance with my cell phone plan so it just doesn't make sense to have a land line at home.  If you are still one of the few taht doesn't have a cell phone or feel that you are just paying too much, you need to see the Light and get a cell phone plan that's right for you!

Kim Kardashian Vs Old Navy

Youtube/Getty Images
Hey there.  Last night, I was a family get together when current events were brought up and a discussion in regards to Kim Kardashian and Old Navy was heating up.  It turns out that Kim Kardashian is suing Old Navy for $20 Million for using a woman with her likeness in their commercials.  Wow... really?!?  I remember seeing the so called Kim look a like (Melissa Molinaro) commercial and never once did it occur to me that she looked like Kim Kardashian.  As a matter of fact, I don't think Melissa looks anything like Kim.  I just thought to myself that the song was stupid, it was a little on the annoying side, and that the woman was trying to hard to be "cute".  If Kim believes that this shallow display of a character is her likeness, I will be floored.  Kim is not a celebrity (in my eyes, at least) and she doesn't have any talent.  The only reason anyone knows who this woman is is because of that "leaked" sex tape with Ray J and I think it's terrible that a woman with no talent is not humble enough to say, hey, I'm fortunate with the success that I do have, I don't need to make an ass of myself.

Breaking In a Baseball Glove Before the DTK Season Starts

Hey there.  I took baseball/softball a few months ago and I'm still learning the ins and outs of being on a team.  Small, quirky things still slip out like calling innings quarters and getting confused with other baseball lingo.  Most of the guys and gals on the team are seasoned players.  They've played on a team at some point in their lives so they have the mechanics down.  I've never played on a baseball team, I don't watch baseball at home, so I just don't have the knowledge and know how just yet.  And yesterday, during practice, I learned that I need to get my baseball glove game ready.  I need to break it in.

Join the Zacapa Society and Taste a Little Bit of Heaven with Zacapa Premium Rum

ZacapaThis is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Diageo for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Hey there.  Every social gathering has a memorable experience, every memorable experience happens over a drink, and every drink has a story.  How many times have you gone out with your friends or hung out with your family and just had a few drinks?  And it's not just any drink, it's the family's preferred drink.  Whether it be a classic whiskey or an old fashioned tequila, drinks with family and friends are always a welcomed experience when you can all have a good laugh and a good time.  For example, I would have friends and family over for Rockband nights.  We would have drinks and play games.  It was always a good time and as a matter of fact, we are planning on having another gaming session very soon.  But as you can see, having the right drink for the occasion is essential for having a good time and Zacapa premium rum has the story that you are looking for.

Amy Winehouse Found Dead in Her London Home

Hey there.  Another celebrity death has just been confirmed.  This time it's the award winning singer, Amy Winehouse.  Reports are flowing across the internet that she was found dead today in her London Home.  She was 27 years old.  Known primarily for her hit single Rehab, Any was also notorious for her drug use and mental health issues.  There were many pictures of Amy looking her worst while on drugs and other substances and many feared for her life.  I expect the news to announce that she died of an over dose.  It just seems up her alley and if that was the case, it's a sad sad ending to a woman with a great voice that needed some guidance.  Rest in peace, Amy.  Later.

Ode to Brownies

Hey there.   I haven't done one of these in a long time and I need to bring them back!  After chatting it up with a friend about how awesome brownies are and how I have some and she doesn't, I decided to share my love of brownies to the world.  So here's the latest entry in my "Ode to..."  series.  Enjoy.

E! is the Best

This guest post from Edgardo Rosa

Does anyone else out there totally love E! True Hollywood Stories? That network doesn’t have a ton of programming that I’m too keen on but those Hollywood Stories are so informational and it’s almost like I’m watching a documentary. I got http://Expertsatellite.com satellite last year and found them then and I’ve been watching pretty much every time a new one comes out ever since. I saw the one on Demi Moore the other day and it totally changes my perspective on her as an actress! I just like how they show clips from old interviews and talk to the friends and family of the celebrity and I almost always learn a few things about them that I had no idea before which helps me sympathize a lot more than I tend to. It’s nice to know stars are human too and although I don’t like spending a lot of time in front of the TV, I don’t mind getting a little bit of pop culture knowledge with my E! Hollywood Stories.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 is Scheduled for a January 2012 US Release

Hey there.  I'm a huge Final Fantasy fan.  I have gone through most of the games (my boy is hogging the Dissidia series on the PSP) and I must say that I have enjoyed them all.  Even the Final Fantasy bastard game, Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest.  Yeah, it was horrible, but if you were new to the CONCEPT of RPGs, this was an easy game to get through and get the gist of how to get through a FF game.  But seriously, how can you not fall in love with the story, the characters, and the music?  Some of the characters and story lines have stuck with me for more than a decade and even today, I've gone back and played some of the classic FF games just to relive those memories.

Food 4 Less and Customer Service 4 None

Hey there.  I have a bone to pick with you, Food 4 Less!  I have been a steady customer of yours for quite some time now.  You're no more than a few blocks away from our home and it seems that we make a trip there every other day for whatever is needed for dinner.  Sometimes... we'll go just to pick up a few munchies.  That's the kind of relationship we had with you.  That's right... WE HAD!!!

Southern California! Help Women in Need with The Cinderella Fund by MeatHead Movers

Hey there.  I appreciate the aspect of getting things done on your own.  I came from a single parent home and it was tough to come by some extra cash for school and what not so when the student athlete brothers needed some cash for school, they did what their bodies could do best, move stuff around.  They decided to start a small moving company and named it MeatHead Movers, a comical name taken from the moniker for big athletes that love to hit the gym.  They didn't think that it would be as big as it is today.

Star Trek Movie Blu Ray Winner (#2)

Hey there.  So I tried to reach the winner of the Star Trek Blu Ray movie but I was not successful.  I tried facebook (private acct), I tried replaying through Disqus (no response), and I called out the winner twice on my fan page (the winner is a fan) but it was all for naught!  No response!!!  Just a reminder guys.  Please leave a means to get a hold of you!  I like the Disqus comment system since it allows you to leave a comment by signing in through one of many social media accounts.  If you sign in by Twitter, I can reach you via Twitter.  If you sign in by Email, then I can reach you by Email.  In this instance, the winner signed in via Facebook but everything was private which limited the ways I was able to reach out.  Because the 5 days are now up, it means, we're picking a new winner!  So here goes.  And the winning number is...

Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman star in The Change-Up. In Theaters August 5th.

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of The Change-Up for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

The Change-Up Movie PosterHey there.  I'm a movie buff.  I love movies from all genres and I try to catch as many of them as I can.  Even though my favorite genre is horror of any kind, my wife balances me out with romantic comedies and other "chick flicks".  The latest that we went to see was Bridesmaids and one of the trailers that caught my attention was for the movie The Change-Up.  The movie stars Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman, 2 actors that I think are pretty good.  Ryan recently starred in The Green Latern and Bateman is starring in another awesome comdey, Horrible Bosses.

AM2 Convention: My Day with the Ani.me Guys

Hey there.  So I was fortunate enough to spend last Saturday at the AM2 Convention in Anaheim and got a chance to hang out with the guys running Ani.me!  How freakin' awesome is that?  I got to stand behind the booth and set up their photo booth and helped out with their much inquired scavenger hunt.  Mike, Chris, and Evan are an awesome group of guys and I definitely wouldn't mind working with them again.

Some Thoughts on Satellite Internet

Hey there.  We live in a digital world and I began to wonder exactly how far we've come in keeping people connected via the internet.  You can find the internet almost everywhere.  Offices, libraries, and even some fast food places have wifi hot spots for customers to use.  Now, I hear that even rural areas getting connected via satellite internet.  That's right.  Internet via satellite.

Casey Anthony Found Not Guilty: America Weeps

What?  My daughter's dead. Noooooooooo... I didn't do it.
Hey there.  I'll admit that I haven't been as captivated by this case as much as I should have been.  As a matter of fact, I first heard about the case from my wife, when she decided to purchase a magazine with Casey on the cover.  I naturally asked her who's that and she explained the case to me.  I then asked if she was famous since she was on the magazine, she said no.  With that right there... I should have known that this was big.  Since then, I started asking my wife to fill me in on the court proceedings, since my wife has the luxury to watch it at home.  Night after night, the evidence compiled against Casey made it seem like she was going to be found guilty for murdering her daughter.  I was curious to see if they would give her the death penalty and even the "experts" on TV were saying that anything but the death sentence would be a victory for Casey.  The "experts" were saying she was as good as guilty.  Then... the American Justice system did what it does best.  It set this child murdering woman free.  That's right, the jury found Casey Anthony NOT GUILTY!
